Cooking with coal brings the ovens up to 900 degrees. Their blazing temperatures cook the pizza fast, giving it a well done crust and creating flavor profiles that just can't be matched by any other cooking method.

The type of coal we use is called Anthracite. Surprisingly, it burns cleaner than fuel such as wood. The coal is mined from once abandoned sites, and when mining is complete, grass and trees are planted to attract wildlife back to the area.

Why don't more restaurants cook with coal? Well, it's a very complex and messy method that calls for a lot of 'TLC'. Fortunately, Angela's loves the challenge! What keeps us going is when guests tell us, "I can never eat pizza from anywhere else again!"

Angela's is proudly owned and operated by our family and friends. After experiencing coal fired pizza in other parts of the country, we decided to be the first ones to bring it to New England. Our first location opened in Saugus in November of 2007. Later in 2008, we brought Angela's to Tyngsboro, MA.


Both of our locations feature a full service dining room and bar areas with multiple plasma screen TVs. Our Tyngsboro location's large bar area allows for live music every Friday night and has optimal space to host parties and events.

Our open style kitchens allow guests the unique opportunity to watch our talented chefs in action! Our Traditional pizza starts with our homemade sauce using San Marzano plum tomatoes, premium mozzarella and Romano cheese and topped with fresh Julian basil. You can enjoy it as-is or add as many of our delicious topping s as you like.

Our Sicilian style pizza starts with our homemade sauce using San Marzano plum tomatoes, romano, provolone, asiago & fontina cheese, oregano, and olive oil.

Famous Signature Coal Fired Wings

Our Famous Signature Coal Fired Wings are like nothing you have ever had before. We marinate them in lemon juice, olive oil, rosemary and garlic. We slow roast them in our coal fired ovens, then pile them high on top of homemade focaccia bread, and finished by smothering them with our coal fired caramelized onions.

We make our two salads with only the best quality hearts of romaine lettuce. They are cut fresh and made to order every day. We top our house Italian with our homemade pure olive oil vinaigrette dressing. Our Caesar comes with homemade coal fired croutons and shaved parmesan cheese.
